How to clean pavers without damaging them
Pavers are tougher than they look, but pressure washing wrong can blow out joint sand and pit the surface. The right approach:
- Use a fan tip nozzle (15 or 25 degrees), not a pinpoint
- Keep the wand 8–12 inches from the surface
- Pressure setting: 1,500–2,500 PSI maximum for residential pavers
- Sweep direction with the joints, not across them
- Pre-treat heavy stains before pressure washing

- It must be installed correctly — wrong moisture or wrong product causes hazing

- Sweep polymeric sand into joints
- Mist with water to activate the sand
